Monday - Video and guided questions:  Roaring Twenties
                 Fads assigned for tomorrow's group work
             
Tuesday/Wednesday  - Group work on fads- Presentations on Friday

Wednesday  Review/discuss packet-guided textbook notes (assigned last Monday -counts 3xHW)

HW:   Prohibition worksheet questions-due Friday

Thursday - Comparing the 20s to Today:  Graphic Organizer

Friday- Group fad presentations

Due this week:   "Interviews" of famous twenties personality

Next Monday- Open Note test on Roaring Twenties-Review notes

DBQ essays not received need to be turned in to me ASAP-test grade!

Monday/Tuesday  - Introduction to the Roaring Twenties  -  Powerpoint presentation (copies            
                                of  presentation provided to students)
                                Project on personalities of the time period passed out/explained

HW:  Due by next Wednesday-  Textbook guided notes from the three sections of  chapter 24  starts on page 748   (Counts 3x)  
   

Wednesday-Friday   Computer Lab research on some of the famous celebrities as well as an "interview" with one of them-student choice.

Monday - Whole class:  Section 3 notes- America at war and the armistice

                Work on ABC booklets- due by Friday             

Tuesday-  Section four notes: Versailles Treaty, influenza outbreak, and long term impacts of war
                  Pass back quizzes from sections one and two- corrections are an option-due by
                  next Tuesday

Wednesday- Looking at primary sources:  Why did the Sentate reject the Versailles Treaty?

Thursday/Friday  - DBQ Essay World War One (chapter test)
                             


Due Friday- ABC booklets and notes packet                  


Extra credit option:  creative writing piece due by end of week
                  
               

Week 22 2/9- 2/13

Snow Day 

Tuesday     Review notes sections one and two/ Mid point Review
                   Listen to song "Over There" which shows American patriotism
                  As time permits begin Reading Like a Historian: Central Question- Were critics of
                  the war anti-American?
                  HW:  Crossword   Woodrow Wilson

Wednesday -Finish Reading Like a Historian sources
                   HW:   Answering the central question -paragraph response using primary sources for
                               supporting details
                 
Thursday-  Open Note Quiz:  sections one and two
                   

Friday-        Section three notes- whole class (Americans at war, Armistice)
                   Work on ABC Booklet (should be finished by next week-after break)



Extra credit option:   Students write a series of journal entries as a soldier in the war or a poem depicting some aspect of the war - due by Feb. 27

Monday- Martin Luther King Day

    No school

Tuesday- Open Note Test- Imperialism

Wednesday- Review for Midterm.  Study Guide provided as well as choices for the essay on the midterm.  Students can bring in a 3x5 note card to the exam.

Thursday- Video:  The Great War (aka WWI)

                             

Friday- Locating and labeling the countries in Europe in 1914 map activity
                     Tests returned- corrections optional - due by 1/30
